Programme Info
Mamanu is a free eight-week Siva Sāmoa program for young boys aged between five to twelve years old. There are two age classes where each learn Gagana Sāmoa, through the singing of traditional Sāmoan songs and dances. Classes have their own lavalava colours to create a sense of belonging. In the duration, boys have access to online videos of their class dances to practice at home. Families are required to purchase (and keep) a class uniform lavalava and an ula nifo for the end of term Fiafia Night. Mamanu is our safe space, designed to support boys at any stage of their cultural identity journey, whether new to Sāmoan culture or a confident Sāmoan, we welcome all to explore your journey with us!
